Individual exhibition, until December 28, 2012.

Jorge Pineda (Dominican Republic) makes his American debut in a major individual exhibition. Indeed theHunterCollege inEast Harlem welcomes two installations of the artist, under the lead of the exhibition curator Mariluz Hoyos.

Jorge Pineda exhibits his work The Forest: Lies (Version III, 2006), which is characteristic of his artistic research, as well as the special creation that he prepared for Shadows and Other Fairy Tales : Oh Taschen, Taschen, Taschen! Wild Girls Without a Mask (2012). Jorge Pineda teams up the portrait of 93 female artists with portraits of masks of the lucha libre – which is widespread in Latin America, and more particularly in Mexico where it comes from.

Exhibition on view from Tuesday to Saturday, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., from September 28th to December 28th 2012.
